Strategy2Bid
A Winning Formula
A Quick2Bid auction is all about strategy and skill. It is a competitive game with a slow increase in Bid Price combined with the added opportunity to pick up Bonus Points during the first stage of the auction. The earlier you bid, the more bonus points you receive and the less you pay later on, regardless of the bid price at the time.
Be sure to use the free Reminder function wisely on your favourite auction prizes and those which you have already bid on. You can find the 'Set Reminder' button on each auction page and once set, it will send you a reminder when there is approximately 20 minutes left on the timer.
A good way to develop your skills is by keeping a look out on the bid history and the action from previous auctions. Here are the most popular strategies for you to practice with:
Ninja bidding
Keeps an eye on the bidding history, analyses past auctions, watches the opponents and sees how many people are bidding.
Hides in the shadows and waits to strike at the right time!
Pouncing
Waits for other bidders to have 'given up' and jumps in at the last second to try and win the auction.
Friendly to all
One of our favourites – gets to know who he or she is bidding against through the Facebook wall. Very stealthy and definitely just as determined to win as everyone else.
Bonus points squirreling
Places bids early on throughout the first stage, when it is cheap to do so, and accumulates those valuable Bonus Points to use later on when the bid price is higher.
Low bid catcher
Generally bids in auctions that are in their first stage but have been going on for quite a while. The low bid catcher will know at what times in the day or night these slower auctions tend to occur and uses this to win the prize whilst spending as little credit as possible.
High end bidding
Waits for the bid price to climb quite high so many bidders will have dropped out, and can then scoop the prize easily.
