Chill out with an ice cream maker

People who want to cool down over the summer and enjoy some homemade ice cream may want to check out the Nostalgia Electrics Old Fashioned Ice Cream Maker.
According to Brian Krepshaw, who reviewed the gadget for CNET, it provides "an easy way to make delicious homemade ice cream in exactly the flavour you are looking for".
But although it looks nostalgic, you won't need to put in too much elbow grease to create your favourite frozen treat.
Mr Krepshaw noted that once you've put your ingredients in the central canister and surrounded it with ice "the modern machine handles all the churning".
The BBC reported yesterday (July 21st) that a hospital in Bedfordshire has installed a soft ice cream machine in its ward for neck and mouth cancer patients.
Dietician Katrina Martinelli told the news provider that the aim is aid recovery by improving nutrition among her patients.
