DIY 'likely to be more popular in autumn'

Once the summer months are over, more people will consider taking on DIY projects around the home according to the National Home Improvement Council (NHIC).
If you want to encourage your partner to be more handy around the house, then why not enter online auctions to win gifts for him, such as a Bosch drill and screwdriver set?
Andrew Leech, director at the NHIC, commented that home owners will take "a more positive attitude" towards DIY once the summer is over.
He also noted that the cold winter could prompt people to undertake home improvement projects before the end of the year.
"This is now the appropriate time to do that and then start putting things right before next winter comes along," Mr Leech noted.
Among the tasks that people could undertake are energy improvements, such as draft proofing and installing new windows and doors.
Winning a Bosch drill and screwdriver kit could give your man the motivation to carry out some basic DIY around the house and also makes the ideal gift for him if he is a practical person.
