Summer 'all about the garden'
14th June 2010

DIY and gardening trends this year will be all about keeping things natural and combining flowers with vegetables, one expert has claimed.
Anna-Marie DeSouza, deputy editor at Build It magazine, noted that small patio kits are "big news" and added that the efficient use of garden space is becoming increasingly important.
"Planting is all about striking a good balance between floral beauty and veg patch efficiency - grow your own is bigger than ever before," she stated.
Her comments could be of interest to anyone who wants to improve their garden ahead of the summer.
Meanwhile, thecaliforniacompany.co.uk carried out a survey which found that nine in ten women own power tools and of those, 67 per cent claimed to do the DIY in the house.
If you want to have a go at your own DIY but still don't have all the tools you need, then why not try and win some in an online penny auction?
At sites such as Quick2bid, you could take away items such as a drill and screwdriver set - or even win a home barbeque grill to help you make the most of the summer weather and all the veg that you'll grow in your garden.
