Sony Cyber-shot 'produces sharp images'

23rd September 2010

Those looking for a high-quality product with which to take pictures may want to consider entering online auctions for digital cameras following one review of the Sony Cyber-shot WX5.

T3.com's Rachael D'Cruze points out that the device is the first compact camera to be released by Sony that is capable of taking 3D images.

Using the Sweep Panorama function, she states that this feature "shoots a high speed burst of frames as you move the camera from side-to-side before combining these into a 3D image, which you can view on a 3D TV, or the camera's LCD".

But the WX5 offers more for those entering penny auctions than just 3D images, as the reviewer notes that the 12.2 megapixel camera is "small but sturdy and very well built". Adding that it comes with a "generous 5x optical zoom", images on the camera are said to be "sharp, blur-free and the colours are punchy".

Earlier this month, Ms D'Cruze claimed that the Panasonic Lumix FX700 "is a great looking compact".

By entering online auctions for digital cameras people can get their hands on the latest photographic equipment for a fraction of its recommended retail value.
