People 'interested in touchscreen phones with Wi-Fi capabilities'

28th September 2010

Touchscreen mobile phones are becoming increasingly sought-after, according to one industry commentator, those looking to bid for gadgets on online auctions may be interested to note.

Mobile Gazette editor Conrad Longmore states the popularity of such handsets has risen in recent times and are proving to be "a very fashionable" product, both among contract and prepay customers.

Indeed, those looking to enter online auctions for mobile phones may be interested to hear his comments that touchscreen handsets such as the Samsung Genio and LG Cookie are deemed to offer value for money.

"There seems to be a particular interest from consumers in inexpensive touchscreen phones with Wi-Fi capabilities," he adds.

Such comments follow a GfK study which revealed the total mobile phone market grew two per cent last month compared to the same time in 2009.

However, those looking to save even more money when it comes to getting a new handset may want to enter penny auctions for mobile phones. By doing so, people can purchase the latest phones for a fraction of their recommended retail value.
