Consumers 'still want print magazines'
18th June 2010

When given a choice between receiving a magazine subscription in print, online or through an e-reader, 90 per cent of respondents stated that they would rather have a physical magazine.
The research carried out by the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Council also found that, while 24 per cent of those polled intend to switch over to an e-reader in the future, 67 per cent like being able to physically hold their magazines.
Currently, just nine per cent of people surveyed by the CMO Council prefer using an e-reader.
Liz Miller, vice-president of programs and operations at the organisation, explained: "Consumers view magazines as part of an overall experience, likely rooted in leisure and relaxation."
If you like having a magazine to read each month, then why not try and win an annual subscription to the publication of your choice in an online auction?
You could spend as little as 50p in a penny auction with Quick2bid and take your pick from more than 1,350 titles offered by iSubscribe.co.uk.
