Samsung television wins prestigious award
12th October 2010
The Samsung UN55C9000 has won an award from T3, those looking to enter online auctions for televisions may be interested to note.
In the technology publication's annual Gadget Awards ceremony, the television was given the design accolade for being the most aesthetically-pleasing gadget of the past 12 months.
"As thin as a pencil, its austerely beautiful titanium frame catches the light, with its seamless form disguising touch controls," T3 notes, adding that "it's hard to argue with the 9000 Series' sheer quality of materials".
But there is more to the television than just an eye-catching exterior, "picture quality isn't too shoddy", with the publication also indicating that it offers 2D to 3D upscaling and full LED backlighting.
Earlier this year, T3's Steve Mays claimed that the Sony Bravia HX803 television offers impressive 3D images.
By entering penny auctions for televisions people can get their hands on the latest home cinema equipment for just a fraction of the recommended retail value.
