Sennheiser HD800 headphones 'worth every penny'

28th July 2010

People who buy Sennheiser HD800 headphones can look forward to listening to "sounds the way they were recorded".

This is according to Prasad Naik, who wrote on techtree.com that Sennheiser has "made a pair of headphones that will make you forget you are wearing a pair of headphones".

He praised the HD800 for its sound quality, comfort and design. Features that particularly impressed him include the foam earpads that are "plush and inviting", as well as the mesh grille on the outside of the headphones.

This prevents your ears from overheating because it offers ventilation, the reviewer noted.

Although the headphones aren't perfect, largely because they are not brilliant at blocking external noise, Naik awarded them 4.5 out of 5 and concluded that they are "worth every penny you fork out".

Sennheiser notes that more than six decades of headphone engineering experience have gone into creating the HD800 model, with the company stating that people who use them will reach "a new height of sonic perspective".
