Pioneer XW-NS5 dock 'a gadget you can't live without'

A list of the 101 gadgets you can't live without this year has been revealed by a gadget website.

T3 compiled the selection, which includes the Pioneer XW-NS5 dock for the iPod Touch.

According to the website, the soundbar from Pioneer "lifts Apple's player into the realms of proper audiophilia".

Features in the soundbar include two 15W front speakers, as well as a down-firing 30W sub.

The main reasons that people should buy the high-tech gadget are for its "svelte looks" and "sweet audio", the source added.

But the Pioneer iPod dock was not the only MP3 player-related item to make it on to the list.

Orbitsound's T12 iPod dock was included for its "TV surround-sound excellence" and its "reasonable price".

Meanwhile, the iPod Nano is also among the favourites, with the website describing the MP3 player as "a classic".

Although Apple is a big player in the digital music market, retailer HMV is hoping to grab a slice of its iTunes business following the launch of its own online music store, hmvdigital, earlier this week.
