Samsung UE55C9000 TV praised by reviewer

10th September 2010

Samsung's UE55C9000 has been praised by one reviewer for its stylish looks, something that those people wanting to enter online auctions for televisions may be interested to hear.

Trusted Reviews' John Archer points out that the device "is more an objet d'art than a TV", noting that the bodywork is made from brushed titanium and has a metallic chassis.

But those bidding on online auctions for TVs may be interested to note the 55-inch UE55C9000 has much more to it than aesthetics.

"The vast size of the screen lets you fully appreciate the extra detail, clarity, texture and sharpness of good quality HD sources," Mr Archer claims, adding that the TV comes with a Freeview HD tuner, two USB slots and an Ethernet port, which can be used to stream multimedia content from a networked DLNA PC.

Overall the UE55C9000 was given nine marks out of a possible ten, with the quality of both 2D and 3D pictures being praised.

Last month, Mr Archer commended Samsung's LE46C750 for being a cost-effective option for those who want a 3D TV but do not want to break the bank in getting one.

However, by entering online auctions for TVs people can get their hands on the latest models for significantly less than their recommended retail price.
