Experience days raise money at auction

A star-studded gala dinner has raised thousands of pounds for charity by auctioning off experience days with celebrities.
The event, which was held at the Dorchester Hotel in London earlier this week, saw a total of £366,000 donated to Stonewall, a charity which supports equality - particularly in relation to homosexuality.
Among the experience days that successful bidders walked away with were a pair of centre court tickets at Wimbledon with Martina Navratilova and dinner cooked for you and ten friends by Clarissa Dickson Wright.
The lot from tennis star Navratilova sold for £21,000 on the night.
While experience days with celebrities may be a great idea, a cheaper way to get your hands on a memorable day out is to bid for one of the experience day prizes on a penny auction site.
