HTC Desire takes Phone of the Year accolade

13th October 2010

People entering online auctions for mobile phones are sure to be keen to get a high-quality product at an affordable price and it seems that the HTC Desire could be one handset that gives them the opportunity to do this.

The mobile phone has been named Phone of the Year at T3's Gadget Awards 2010, with the publication noting that it is "clean-lined and functional".

And while the latest iPhone had initially looked to take this accolade, T3 claims that the Desire is cheaper than the Apple product, as well as having the advantage of using an open platform system.

It goes on to state that the "Android Market is starting to rival the App Store for quality wares".

Earlier this month, the publication noted that the LG Town "rocks social networking skills with messaging at its heart".

By entering penny auctions, people can get their hands on the latest mobile phones for much less than their recommended retail price on the high street.
