Acer Aspire 5942G 'designed for home entertainment'

14th October 2010

For those keen to watch Blu-ray discs, entering online auctions for laptops may be a good idea following one review of the Aspire 5942G from Acer.

Expert Reviews' Kat Orphanides states that the laptop's speakers offer "a rich, resonant bass and clear mid and treble tones", something which he claims is useful considering the computer features a Blu-ray player.

Noting that the 5942G "is clearly designed with home entertainment in mind", Ms Orphanides points out that the 15.6-inch screen laptop has an impressive battery life, lasting for four hours and 49 minutes.

Also among the device's "range of very desirable features" is Bluetooth, a dual-band 802.11n WiFi and a "whopping" 640GB hard disk drive, as the reviewer rates the product four stars out of a possible five.

Last month, the site's Tom Morgan stated that the Samsung Q330 is "a great choice" for those people on the search for an ultra-portable laptop.
