New Twilight film breaks box office record

13th July 2010

Eclipse - the latest release in the series of Twilight films - has set a new box office record, online auction enthusiasts may be interested to hear.

Starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, the third cinematic adaptation of Stephenie Meyers' series of books took £13.7 million in its first week at UK screens.

Not only did Eclipse knock last week's chart-topper Shrek Forever After into second place, Screen International reports it has also set a new record for the highest UK takings for a film on its opening weekend in 2010, smashing the £10.5 million that Alice in Wonderland recorded in March.

But if you can't wait to get to the cinema for your fix of vampire action, why not enter online penny auctions for Twilight books and movies?

Sites such as Quick2bid run online auctions where you can get the previous films in the series - Twilight and New Moon - as well as all four books from which the movies are based on.

Whether you want to enjoy the original series of novels or are keen to win online auctions for DVD box-sets so you can enjoy the action on-screen, you can get your hands on Twilight books and movies for a fraction of the recommended retail price.
