Kitchen products 'becoming more popular'

27th September 2010

Britons are increasingly looking to get products for their kitchen, it has been suggested, those looking to enter penny auctions may be interested to note.

Richard Joseph, co-director and designer of contemporary kitchenware firm Joseph Joseph, states that the increasing popularity of celebrity chefs has seen more people become interested in cooking.

And as he notes that the kitchen is being seen as "the key place" in the home to cook and entertain, homeowners may want to consider entering online auctions for kitchen accessories.

"I think the recession has meant more people are cooking at home and not going out as much. So all these things have meant that we've seen a huge explosion in sales of kitchen products," Mr Joseph states.

Such comments follow a study by The Future Laboratory, which revealed 57 per cent of homeowners believe that the use of technology will boost people's kitchen experience.

By entering online auctions for kitchen appliances, people can get their hands on various gadgets and gizmos for less.
