iRobot Roomba 'has many useful features'

11th August 2010

The iRobot Roomba has a number of features that sets it apart from a standard vacuum cleaner and makes it a highly desirable piece of cleaning equipment.

One reviewer from the Daily Mail became a fan of the little machine after testing it in her home.

Elizabeth Hammond explained that the cleaning robot could prove to be a valuable addition to any home, noting that the small vacuum cleaner is thorough as it whizzes around rooms.

"At the edges, it hugged the walls, its star-shaped side brush seeking out fluff and flicking it into the path of the main counter-rotating brushes," she explained.

The iRobot Roomba is able to clean up to four rooms from one charge, allowing you to get on with other cleaning tasks while it takes care of the floors.

Ms Hammond also pointed out that its sensors are highly effective, with the robot "gently bumping off obstacles" as it travelled around the house.

She gave the vacuum cleaner a rating of five stars, adding that it is worth its £399.99 price tag.

One household that may already be making use of the iRobot Roomba is Number 10 Downing Street. David Cameron was given one of the robotic vacuum cleaners by its manufacturers when he moved into his new residence in May this year.
