People 'should have more confidence in the kitchen'
7th October 2010

Britons should look to be a little more imaginative when it comes to cooking.
So points out actress and Celebrity Masterchef 2010 winner Lisa Faulkner, who states that people often suffer from "a huge lack of confidence" in the kitchen and are tempted to stick with what they know.
However, those looking to enter online auctions for kitchen appliances may be interested to note her claims that once people understand the basic ingredients of dishes they can add to them to create something different.
One example of this, she states, is by adding chorizo or chilli powder to a bolognese sauce in order to make a chilli.
"It's just [about] keeping the basic ingredients and maybe having the courage to try something a little bit different, with a different ingredient in it," Faulkner notes.
Speaking after research by Hotpoint showed around nine-tenths of people constantly eat the same cycle of meals.
However, by entering online auctions for kitchen appliances budding Jamie Olivers may find they are able to whip up new, exciting dishes.
