Savers 'will review low interest accounts'

2nd June 2010

Saving CCU

As a result of the economic downturn, it seems the old adage that 'every penny counts' is becoming increasingly true.

Research released by Fair Investment Company found that 86 per cent of British savers intend to review their accounts to try and find one with better interest rates.

The organisation noted that this is almost a 20 per cent increase when compared with data from six months ago.

George Ladds, head of pensions and investments at Fair Investment Company, commented that it is "important" to review savings accounts regularly "to make sure you are still getting the most out of your money".

If your efforts at saving have taken a hit lately then they could be helped along if you win an online auction for cash from Quick2bid.

You could win up to £50 from as little as a 50 pence bet with one of the online auctions at Quick2bid, which could provide a welcome boost to your savings.
